~ This solitary Giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchi, Masai Giraffe, was browsing on acacia foliage beside the track...I wondered how do giraffes manage the sharp acacia spines?...the heavily overcast sky facilitated a portrait with a clear background...it was the first time that I noticed the insects around the face of a giraffe, somewhat like lions, who have their own coterie of flies
