~ By happenstance, the two Diptera I photographed were both observed in the same area, although on separate plants…their jewel-like coloration, finely wrought appendages and large multi-faceted eyes exemplify the intricacy of natural selection at relatively inconspicuous levels…one might also say that our Creator has been mindful of even the most maligned of organisms
