~ This Macronyx croceus, 黄喉长爪鹡鸰, Yellow-Throated Longclaw, was perched at eye-level to the right of the safari van…we'd paused for several minutes to observe and photograph several Ardea melanocephala, Black-Headed Heron, hunting in dew-moistened grass…as we prepared to leave this adult male Macronyx croceus flew up beside us, remaining long enough to be photographed, showing the eponymous long feet
