~ We came to an Ntiakntiak River crossing which was a challenge for the safari vehicle. The previous afternoon's rainfall had raised the level of the silt-muddied torrent. There was an outcropping of stratified rock exposed on either side of the river. I requested a pause to photograph extended channeling by ants, many of which were carrying white eggs.
