~ The richness of lichen growth, 青苔, in Futang was impressive…these specimens were photographed on cut poles used for fencing in gardens near the village stream…the orange-caped fruiting bodies of Cladonia cristatella, a frilly white lichen and a saffron yellow encrusting lichen attracted the camera lens for their visual impact in an otherwise green micro-environment
