~ Although I owned another 400mm lens, it's f/5.6 aperture lacked the versatility I sought in bird photos…reading about the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super telephoto lens convinced me of its worth…the original idea of buying it came from my longtime friend ZHOU Qi in Hong Kong, who emphasized to me the longterm value of the relatively bright f/2.8 lens
