~ After riding the cable-car and walking back through the Wild Elephant Valley Park, we were escorted to an elephant show…it consisted of elephant rides followed by performances by the trained pachyderms…the idyllic weather offset the pervasive feeling of shame for being a spectator of such a performance…the elephants receive a steady stream of snacks from the audience
