~ Although it was drizzling, windy and fairly cold, I asked Haojun to join me in visiting the graves along the drainage ditches separating the farm fields...our shoes were caked with clinging mud which required considerable effort to remove...earlier in the morning I'd watched groups of male family members visiting the graves, setting off fireworks in honor of their forebears...it seemed right to walk into the fields to photograph the graves on the morning of the Lunar New Year
