~ I'd had the privilege of meeting Haojun's paternal grandfather, QIAN Mingju (钱浩俊), five years ago...born in 1922, he has led a creative life, including making the lions guarding the front door of Haojun's family home...after lunch, we visited him in his room at the back of his son, QIAN Zhixue's home...he wanted to get up to greet me, but we assured him that remaining in bed was fine...these portraits were taken in limited light but nonetheless capture his energy, intelligence and friendliness
