~ The water we observed near Lake Amboseli was little more than shallow stretches of surface water, clean but lacking depth or volume...these Pelecanus onocrotalus, Great White Pelican, were unable to swim, instead resting on a mudflat, occasionally preening, with a few Egyptian Geese nearby
