~ When LI Yinan and I had a weeklong safari in Kenya in February, 2014, I promised our highly skilled guide and driver, Anthony Gitau, that I'd arrange for him to receive a new professional camera for use during his safaris…unfortunately, numerous complex restrictions prevented an EOS 700D with an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM zoom lens from being accepted for shipment to Nairobi from Beijing…during the subsequent months the patient, highly competent assistance of CHEN Jian and LI Jiangyu gradually worked out an alternate means of getting the camera, lens, support gear and a Philips CVR700 car videocam from Beijing to Anthony and his wife, Maggie, in Nairobi…these photos show the assembled material on my kitchen table, in preparation for finally making them available to Anthony within the next few days…it's my hope that this will raise the professional quality of Bigmac Africa Safaris in Kenya
