~ We drove east of Turpan (新疆吐鲁番) then turned north, entering renowned Qingnian Road (青年路) where grapevines grow over the road…the driver needed a strong effort to be persuaded to briefly stop to take these two images showing the base of the Flaming Mountains (火焰山) with chunche (葡萄干晾房) or grape-drying houses…he was in a rush to deliver us to the tourism-centered Grape Valley (葡萄沟) as this was near the peak of the grapr season
