~ This single image was a 'one off'. meaning that it's unlike any other photograph taken while visiting Chaozhou and was the only image taken…I wanted to capture the act of fishing on a stormy day but the little boy was unhappy at seeing a camera lens pointed his way…therefore I walked away until there was sufficient distance to minimize the intrusiveness, which also happened to produce the sense of emptiness along the riverfront and showed the dark clouds over the mountains
