~ I'd casually mentioned to Anthony that spotting Taurotragus oryx, Common Eland, would be pleasing, thus when that occurred, I was elated...the large grey male, single female and calf were grazing together...they seemed to be aware of our presence, yet not overly anxious...Anthony noted that the bull eland was exceptionally large and thus may have been fairly old...like both species of kudu, eland have eye-pleasing soft stripes on their coats
