~ On 19 August, 2016 Ms. ZHOU Baoli accompanied me on an all-morning visit to Yang County for bird observation in a mountain bird hide. A local professional birding guide, Mr. HUA, met us in a farming village, taking us via a winding road deep into the mountains. There was such high humidity on the warm day that the camera lens experienced difficulty in functioning. The hide was a small enclosure made of dark mesh, overlooking an open area where bird food was placed to attract birds from the surrounding forest. On the return drive I spotted Nipponia nippon, Crested Ibis. Mr. HUA's eldest daughter is Ms. 华泽叶
