~ This large album contains images taken during a walk after dinner in the Kuan Alley district in Sichuan, Chengdu…Haojun had never been there, so he and I enjoyed seeing the well-lit traditional shops and eating places…it was a substantial technical challenge to take these shots without flash or monopod support in evening darkness…they were shot handheld with a slow shutter speed, using the Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZE on the EOS 1D X…the festive atmosphere on the night preceding the annual Lantern Festival enhanced the night's energy
