~ After rising before dawn, I put the Zeiss Apo-Sonnar T* 135mm f/2 ZE manual focus telephoto lens on the EOS 1D X camera...at the entrance of the lodge, the night lights were on a tree...several large bats clumsily flew into the tree...they were Epomophorus wahlbergi, Wahlberg's Epauletted Fruit Bat...despite the very low light it was possible to photograph one roosting on a tree branch...they're among the few bat photos I've ever made
