~ During my first safari in 2011 in Masai Mara, I'b been struck by how many lapwings we'd observed...that was my first acquaintance with lapwings, yet I'd never observed as many in subsequent Kenya safaris...it was a pleasure to photograph this pair of Vanellus coronatus, Crowned Lapwings or Plovers
