~ While we waited to see if Sam might be able to rev the engine to rock the safari van out of the mini-gully, I photographed butterflies on a clump of wildflowers immediately beside us…fortuitously, this was our only opportunity for butterfly photography while driving through the savannah, although we subsequently saw other butterflies on a hill above the Mara River, during our lunch break
