~ The first morning back in Kenya began at 4:30 am when I woke after a very pleasant night's rest. The passing of a Leopard by the tent, preceded by a Black Rhino were events I had heard, but didn't interpret well until the security gentlemen made it clear. Tea and sweet biscuits were delivered at 6 am, as was heated water for the bucket shower. It was my first experience with a bucket shower — comfortable, without the burns from the showers in Argentina when I was a teenager. A two-thirds Moon was in the clear sky. An all-fruit breakfast prepared me for the day's travel. Camp Manager Clemenza and her staff came out to bid me farewell. My overall impression of the Nairobi Tented Camp is positive in all respects. If fate smiles, I'd be honored to return for a longer stay. It's one of Gamewatchers Safaris’ best secrets.
