~ Derek and Meshak were completely focussed on the female leopard resting below us, despite the lack of action or clear visibility. I spotted a bright blue bird on a branch, Elminia longicauda, African Blue Flycatcher. This species lives in forested areas in West and Central Africa, with a small part of Kenya being its only habitat in East Africa. I felt especially fortunate to observe and photograph it. Such beauty and color is seldom encountered anywhere, let alone at a leopard sighting.
