~ Vidua macroura, Pin-tailed Whydah, is a species with an unmistakable profile...they were regularly observed in Tsavo West National Park and Subsequently in Meru National Park...the males elongated tail feathers are breeding plumage, hence we were fortunate to observe them during their breeding season...their flight is looping, with dips and rises causing the tail feathers to flutter
