~ Throughout the first afternoon in Venice the presence of gondolas was unmistakable…as it turned out, the Easter Sunday visitors made the most full use of gondolas of any of the days I was there…every gondola appeared to be maintained in tip-top condition…as these images show, gondolas appeared in the least likely remote canals
