~ Pontederia cordata, Pickerelweed, may lack the cachet of Nymphaea or Nelumbo nucifera, but it's light blue flowers have a small scale loveliness all their own…there wasn't a lot in bloom, but this one stalk attracted my lens, given my predilection towards blue
