~ When putting away the dinner dishes, I saw warm colors reflected on the opposite dormitory, so looked towards the west…this dusk scene prompted me to run for the EOS 1D X camera, placing the Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 100mm f/2 ZE lens on it, as I'd been thinking that I hadn't been using it enough of late…of the eight handheld shots I took out of my 8th floor kitchen window, seven were blurred or uneven, with only one usable image…yet as my herpetologist friend XIAO Xiao (肖骁) says to describe the venomous bite of Dendroaspis polylepis (black mamba): “One Shot, One Kill”…the worth of the Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 100mm f/2 ZE lens is self-evident in this single image which has not been cropped or post-processed
