~ In the late evening of my 63rd birthday I was quietly reading at home. Seven English major freshmen who live at the North Campus surprised me with a visit. They sang ‘Happy Birthday’, brought a birthday cake, and had a wonderful spirit of celebration. One of my happiest birthdays in decades.
