~ Heliotropium steudneri, Common Heliotrope, is another species which I'd never previously noticed...I asked to stop to photograph it because the inflorescences attracted my attention as we drove past them...like a reverse unfurling fern fiddlehead, they have bright white flowers on the outer surface of the uncoiled floral stem
