~ With elephants, there are situations where one can't be certain how many are present. Despite their mass and scale, they have an uncanny ability to be present in numbers in groves yet not readily apparent to the untrained observer. We stopped for what appeared to be a single elephant browsing at the edge of a copse. Almost imperceptibly a second elephant appeared with no more sound or hubbub than a gnat landing on silk.
