~ For a brief change of pace, it seemed like an opportune time to shoot a few test shots using the hitherto unused EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II super telephoto lens. There has been absolutely no post-processing of any sort, beyond moderate cropping in five of the images. Most were shot mounted on the Manfrotto monopod, looking out the open 8th floor window of my kitchen. The lens is capable of capturing distant detail with true colors, as is apparent in these images.
