~ Whenever I observe male widowbirds in breeding plumage fluttering before plunging into tall grass, my camera lens is employed in seeking a reliable image of their behavior. In this instance, Euplectus jacksoni, Jackson's Widowbird, was active near the track. The bird's constant motion was a challenge when shooting in Manual Mode. Euplectus jacksoni is quite a striking example of tail plumage utilized in courtship.
