~ Making our way back to Porini Lion Camp, the reduced light hampered spotting birds. At a distance a solitary giraffe was seen under tall acacias. We wended our way until the same giraffe was directly beside us, far too tall for a portrait at that close range. I asked for a momentary stop to photograph a curious outcropping of white stones where no others were to be seen.
