~ When Saruni slowed for a close range view of several Vanellus coronatus, Crowned Lapwing (Plover), the angle of diminishing sunlight was ideal for portraits. The birds remained as they were, therefore photography was effortless. They're a favorite bird on safari in southern Kenya, as their bold colors stand out.
