~ Dawn was modulated by a misty veil of fog-like vapor. A sunspot was discernible on the solar surface as the mist reduced glare. In the distance a topi grazed while other animals rested on the soil. It was one of the most striking sunrises I ever experienced in Africa, both for the moody filtered light and for the cool temperature.
