~ Looking upward into a tree in pre-dawn dim light, about half an hour before sunrise, a bird was moving around on a branch. It was a visitor from Europe, Sylvia atricapilla, Blackcap. As it was at a much higher level, identification was challenging, especially when considering the hooked upper mandible. The bird and I shared the pleasure of morning as visitors in Nairobi National Park.
