~ I never asked Anthony how he knew they would be there, but he stopped and pointed out Platalea alba, African Spoonbill, explaining that he had driven there so that we might see them...they were splashing about as a group, next to a flock of Great White Pelicans, with Thomson's Gazelles grazing in the background...as it turned out, it was not the last time that we'd observe Platalea alba during the safari
