~ The afternoon of 2 October was such a pleasant contrast to the preceding day that I took the EOS 1D X and EF 300mm f/4L IS telephoto lens out to the buddleja bushes (醉鱼草) west of the campus…there were more than a dozen Polygonia c-auretum, Asian Comma (黄钩蛱蝶) fluttering about, sipping nectar on an October afternoon
