~ After staying up all night working on scientific manuscripts, and following the Holland vs Argentina FIFA World Cup Semi-Final match, I stepped into my kitchen to make cinnamon honey tea…glancing outside, a stunning dawn was in the eastern sky…I ran to my bedroom, picked up the EOS 1D X camera and proceeded to photograph the extraordinary show, all before 5 am…seven lenses were used in order to obtain as broad a set of views as possible…to faithfully convey the luminous dawn colors, no post-processing or cropping was done to any of the photos, which were all handheld out of my 8th floor kitchen window, facing eastward
