~ I walked ahead of Tong and Guoming, carefully scanning fenced-in grassy lots for any avian species of interest…this Lanius schach, Long-Tailed Shrike, abruptly landed on a typhoon-damaged tree branch, remaining long enough for me to take these shots…from my skewed anthropocentric perspective, shrikes seem to have a highly intelligent gaze
