~ Several times in Tsavo West National Park Merops superciliosus, Madagascar Bee-eater, had been spotted, but in each of those instances the bird had immediately flown away or it was too distant for satisfactory photography...happily, this Merops superciliosus remained on a branch near the track sufficiently long for these portraits to be made...the chestnut hue of the plumage on the neck is especially pleasing
